Why is drafting an essential step in the writing process rather than going straight to a final version? Use your own experience from this essay to explain how drafting improved (or revealed weaknesses in) your thinking.

Prompt: It is super important to write a draft of an essay before you actually write it because there is an extremely high chance that you will make errors in your writing or do something that you will either loose points or later want to change it. If you initially write a draft you can have someone look at it or you look at it later and see if there are those errors. If they are you can later correct it. I learned from my own experience that when I am writing I put down my initial thoughts but then later regret saying what I said and because I wrote a draft I am able to correct it.

Summary: Today we worked on our draft

Reflection: When writing a draft you are able to understand your strengths and weaknesses while writing. Having the ability to write a draft is something that makes it easier on you to later write a better overall essay.

Discuss something meaningful or memorable you experienced over the break, or reflect on what you felt most thankful for during that time.

As the first semester comes to an end, take time to reflect on your learning and growth in this course. In a well-developed response, explain what you enjoyed most about the class, identify the project or assignment you found most engaging, and discuss which aspect of the course you connected with the most (such as poetry, fiction, writing, or discussion). Finally, reflect on one area where you feel you need additional support or improvement as we move into the spring semester.

In "The Lamb" and "The Tyger", both poems suggest that beauty and danger can come from the same source. Describe a time when something or someone you admired also scared or challenged you. How did that experience change the way you see the world or the idea of “goodness”?
