Today we discussed why academic writing must reflect your own thinking and understanding rather than relying on artificial intelligence to generate your ideas. After learning about the expectations for authentic writing, reflect on why it is important for students to write essays in their own words.

Prompt: i think it's extremely important to write essays in your own words because it helps the person that is reading the essay better understand your stand on the argument you're trying to make. If you use someone else's writing it may be different from the ideas that you specifically have period so writing it in your own voice with your own writing style can better explain to the person you're specific writing style and overall your opinion on the topic.

Summary: Today we wrote.

Reflection: It is important not to steal other people's work and make sure that everything you do is your own work. Also if you steal other people's work it doesn't allow for you to creatively grow and better understand how you write and what to improve on.

As the first semester comes to an end, take time to reflect on your learning and growth in this course. In a well-developed response, explain what you enjoyed most about the class, identify the project or assignment you found most engaging, and discuss which aspect of the course you connected with the most (such as poetry, fiction, writing, or discussion).
