Food is often tied to memory and emotion. Describe a meaningful memory connected to a meal or dish. Analyze how that experience shaped your understanding of family, culture, or belonging.

Prompt: One time that I always am fond of when I am looking at food is when I get to spend time with my family over holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas. This is because I get to spend time with the people I love and I also get to have the food my aunt makes. This is a really special moment to me and this has shaped me into a person who is willing to try a bunch of different kinds of food, but I will always go back to my southern roots and eat the cooking my aunt makes.

Summary: Today we worked on an assignment about food.

Reflection: meaningful time of families is really important in food is what brings us together. Food is also what shakes us as a person through our culture. It's really important to understand the kind of food that shaves you and how it connects to your culture.

Discuss something meaningful or memorable you experienced over the break, or reflect on what you felt most thankful for during that time.

As the first semester comes to an end, take time to reflect on your learning and growth in this course. In a well-developed response, explain what you enjoyed most about the class, identify the project or assignment you found most engaging, and discuss which aspect of the course you connected with the most (such as poetry, fiction, writing, or discussion). Finally, reflect on one area where you feel you need additional support or improvement as we move into the spring semester.
