What is the most challenging part of writing an essay for you? Is it brainstorming, organizing ideas, writing a strong thesis, or something else? How do you plan to overcome this challenge?

Prompt: I think that the hardest part of writing an essay is actually starting the essay. Figuring out what to start writing about and how to write it has always been challenging for me. Once I start writing the essay I am able to continue writing without having any problems. I plan to overcome this challenge by working on methods where I can write down my ideas to help me understand how to start my essays.

Summary: Today we worked on different essay styles.

Reflection: when writing an essay it is important to have all of the different parts of writing the essay ready before you actually start writing the essay. This allows you to not struggle as much when you actually start writing the essay and have an easier time finishing it if you are given a time limit or you have a specific request for writing the essay.

In a well-developed response, explain what you enjoyed most about the class, identify the project or assignment you found most engaging, and discuss which aspect of the course you connected with the most (such as poetry, fiction, writing, or discussion). Finally, reflect on one area where you feel you need additional support or improvement as we move into the spring semester.
