Reflect on a time when you or someone you know had to choose between fitting in and staying true to their identity; what was gained or lost in that experience?

Prompt: This is still a constant thing that I have to deal with in the present day. School. During my time in school I have always had to make the decision to try and fit in with the people around me or to stay true to myself and not fit in. This has always been a hard decision for me to make. In the start I tried my best to fit in and I lost my personality and my joy from that. Then later in my life I chose to be myself, and I was able to express what I like and I became happy.

Summary: Today we worked on a project.

Reflection: It is important to express yourself when it comes to a social standpoint. This is what allows you to find people that express similar interests to you. When you try to hide what you love just to fit in, you won't be happy. You are hiding yourself from others and becoming friends with people that like your fake self and not the real one.

Discuss something meaningful or memorable you experienced over the break, or reflect on what you felt most thankful for during that time.

As the first semester comes to an end, take time to reflect on your learning and growth in this course. In a well-developed response, explain what you enjoyed most about the class, identify the project or assignment you found most engaging, and discuss which aspect of the course you connected with the most (such as poetry, fiction, writing, or discussion). Finally, reflect on one area where you feel you need additional support or improvement as we move into the spring semester.

In "The Lamb" and "The Tyger", both poems suggest that beauty and danger can come from the same source. Describe a time when something or someone you admired also scared or challenged you. How did that experience change the way you see the world or the idea of “goodness”?
