Have you ever restored a relationship, forgiven someone, or been forgiven in a way that changed you? How does the novel’s ending shape your understanding of forgiveness across different cultures or families?

Prompt: I have had one friendship where I became friends with someone again after they were mad at me, this happened with my friend Lois. She and I got mad at each other freshman year and refused to talk for 6 months, but at the start of sophomore year we became friends again. Then ending of the novel shows me that a reunion doesn't always have to be super joyful and happy but it can be however the people are feeling.

Summary: Today we read the color purple

Reflection: Getting to forgive someone after you haven't seen them in a while or were fighting with them is super important because it can allow for you to understand what you missed from that person and what went wrong.

As the first semester comes to an end, take time to reflect on your learning and growth in this course. In a well-developed response, explain what you enjoyed most about the class, identify the project or assignment you found most engaging, and discuss which aspect of the course you connected with the most (such as poetry, fiction, writing, or discussion). Finally, reflect on one area where you feel you need additional support or improvement as we move into the spring semester.
