What is the best piece of advice of that your parent or guardian has given you? Tell what the advice was and what prompted you to ask the question.
Prompt: the best advice that my parent gave me was " when you're in college don't do a major just because you want to do something with it afterwards, do a major that is practical and can get you a job". This meant that don't take a major like biology just because you want to be in the medical field, take a major that has a practical use so if you don't get into medical school you can still use the major that you studied for. What prompted them to tell me this was me asking about what I should do for a major in college.
Summary: I was not present in class.
Reflection: Going off of what my parents said and how you should do something practical it is important to understand that you want to do something that you love for your career but also something that you can rely on in case anything goes wrong. That's why it's important to understand what major you're doing and how it can affect you later in life.
